Wedding Party

I have known Ngozi my whole life! I have had the privilege of watching Ngozi grow up and blossom into the beautiful woman she is today. As her matron of honor, I look forward to standing by her side on her special day. I pray my sister’s wedding is as fabulous as she is and exemplifies the strong love Ngozi and Osas share. Let the count down begin!

Ngozi and I first met in middle school and quickly grew close because of our shared love for music and dance. We have shared timeless memories together. Regardless of distance or time spent away from each other, it is always as if we didn’t skip a beat once we get back together! Ngozi has always been an intelligent, caring, and beautiful person inside and out. Being with Osas she has only developed into a more amazing woman. I am so honored to witness the union of “NgOsas”. Love you guys!

I met Ngozi the first day of freshman year at East Carolina University, when she brazenly approached my family to ask if we were African. Since then we’ve been inseparable sharing laughter and memories. I am proud to say that Ngozi is not only my best friend she is my sister. Ngozi has always been a kind person, but being with Osas, I’ve noticed that my friend has become kinder, sweeter and even more patient. I am blessed to share in their expression of love to one another on their wedding day.

Ngozi and I first met in the 7th grade and became closer friends when we attended college together. We have shared many great experiences together; one being when we joined the prestigious sorority of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Although there have been changes in our lives, one thing that remains true is that our friendship never waived. I have watched Osas and Ngozi’s friendship blossom into the unequivocal love that you see today. I am so proud to be a part of their celebration of marriage!

Ngozi is my cousin and we first met when my family relocated to Raleigh. Ngozi and I grew closer when she was a bridesmaid in my wedding. Together with my sister, they spearheaded the planning of my bachelorette party, which was one of the best weekends of my life. When Ngozi told me she was getting married, I was VERY happy for her, and quickly recollected the time she once asked me "how do you know that you have found the one"? I'm sure she knows the answer to that question now!

What would I do without my big sis Ngozi?! Whenever I need advice on boys, some creative inspiration, someone to dance with, an outfit, or someone to lift my spirits, I call on my big Ngozi. Those who know her understand that she gives everything her 100%. Therefore, I have no doubt she will treat her marriage as she treats anything that is special to her. This couple is so perfect for each other and I am ecstatic and honored to be apart of the celebration of their love and everlasting union!

Ngozi is more than just my cousin. She's one of my best friends, my ride-or-die. She's always there to listen and give advice, albeit unsolicited sometimes. She has one of the kindest souls I know. I introduced Ngozi to Osas back in the day, and was one of Osas’s biggest cheerleaders when he wanted to be more than just friends with Ngozi. I am happy they found love in each other I wouldn't be anywhere else in this world than to witness their beautiful union.

I met Osas at Enloe High School through a mutual friend. I always came over uninvited to play video games, but we didn't really become good friends till college. I met Ngozi at a birthday dinner for her cousin Ije and we share the same birthday.

I was born in Kenya where I spent my early years. I currently live in Raleigh with my wife and son. I have been friends with Osas since our college days and got to know Ngozi through him. I watched him implement several tactics to break out of the dreaded friend zone until he finally succeeded. I wish the couple the very best in their marriage.

I have known Osas from the day I was born and ever since he’s been nothing less than a great mentor, role model, and brother to me. My first time meeting Ngozi was at a game night at Alex’s, one of Osas best friend's, house what seems like a few short years ago. There I noticed for the first time her warmhearted and enthusiastic personality as well as the twinkle in Osas’s eyes as he gazed at her.

Osas is my immediate older brother. I've known him all my life! I believe I met Ngozi during her cousin Ije's birthday dinner at Maggiano's in Durham about 7 or 8 years ago.

So one day when I was around 4, my sister and I were playing with our toys. My parents came home with this baby. I wondered whose kid this was and when will he ever go back home. How many more babies are they gonna take in? Why do they look like me? We ended up calling that baby "Osasere". Over the years, I realized the blessings of having siblings. That's why I'm excited to have Ngozi as a new sister.

I have been friends with Osas since 2006 when we met at NCSU while we were both pursuing Masters in Accounting. We’ve remained close friends over the years. We made a bet to see who will outlast the other in public accounting. With neither wanting to lose the bet, we continue to endure the pains that come with our jobs & successfully using each other to complain about our jobs & motivate each other to keep going. I got to know Ngozi over events which Osas hosted to bring his friends together.

I first met Osas in 2002 at freshman orientation. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to be a part of Osas's incredible journey. Along with Justin & Alex, I have shared a lot of great memories with Osas...the talley parties, amateur "freestyle battles", pickup bball, friday nights playing video games. But more important to me is the friendship & mentorship I've shared with Osas. I am the person I am today in part because of the awesome friend and support Osas has been for the last 13 years.
